We do the boring stuff that gives climbers the freedom to climb.

ACAQ is the peak body for recreational climbing in Queensland, and is recognized as such by QPWS.  We are members of QORF, which is the overall peak body for outdoor recreational activity in Queensland.

We are funded by a combination of direct membership and associate membership through the major climbing clubs.

We strive to legitimise the climbing community as valid stakeholders in plans impacting outdoor recreational spaces.

We strive to establish the channels of communication necessary for the climbing community to be heard on land access issues, whether that be in the private, local government or state government sectors.

We draft management policies that pertain to the sustainability of our limited climbing estate.

We provide input on state and local government plans and policies as they pertain to outdoor recreation.

The ACAQ Facebook Group is the place to go if you wish to discuss anything to do with access.
